Kimberly Crest House and Gardens is a 22 room 7,000 square foot Victorian era Chateauesque estate with over 6 acres of Italian Renaissance styled gardens.  The house was designed by the Los Angeles architectural firm of Dennis and Farwell for Cornelia Hill, a New York socialite.  Constructed in 1897 by the renowned construction firm of Donald and Donald, the house retains virtually all the architectural details as originally executed.  The elaborate gardens were added in 1908 when the home was purchased by John and Helen Kimberly, the founders of the Kimberly-Clark Corporation.  The estate is an excellent example of the Chateauesque Style that was popular throughout American in the late 19th Century.  The house was later duplicated in Hollywood as a private residence but is now famously known as the Magic Castle
